Helm Receives National Rural Water Association’s Associate Programs Member Services Peer Leadership Award!
The NRWA Peer Leadership Awards program was established to recognize the outstanding efforts of Rural Water Association representatives. Helm was honored for her dedication and tireless efforts in rural water association work. To most people who call the association’s office, Helm is “Oregon Association of Water Utilities!” All who call are greeted with a friendly smile. Her positive and upbeat attitude is contagious. Helm’s goal is to have all the products that leave the association’s office be as professional as possible. She prepares the conference fliers and attendee packets, gathers and delivers all the articles, pictures and advertising for our quarterly H2Oregon Magazine. She is our promotional/marketing coordinator. Helm also is responsible for membership billing and accounts receivables (QuickBooks) adding to her growing list of talents. Tamra runs 15+ miles weekly, enjoys gardening, and reading. The love of her life is her family; husband Cleve-married 7 years, 3 daughters Cheyenne-6, Moriah-12 and Cortney-15. The National Rural Water Association is a federation of 48 State Rural Water Associations serving over 24,558 water and wastewater utility members in 49 states with additional programs in Honduras and Puerto Rico. NRWA members form a solid foundation for Team Rural Water. Upholding the motto of “Quality On Tap!” Rural Water Associations provide small communities in every state with management and technical resources to supply safe and affordable water. ###
