National Rural Water is

members of our Association. We have secured
a fleet pricing contract with
Daimler-Chrysler Corporation. This program
will save rural and small systems thousands
of dollars while providing flexibility in
vehicle types and options. Any organization
who is a member of National Rural Water
Association or one of our State Affiliates
may order these program vehicles at any time
during the year through your local dealer.
Systems can save up to $5,500 off the
dealer invoice price (not the MSRP)
through this program. Eligible vehicles
include Ram and Dakota pickups, Durango,
Grand Cherokee, Liberty, Wrangler, all
minivans and several other models. The

This a national fleet
pricing program, negotiated directly with
DaimlerChrysler Corporation. Some
dealerships in may be unfamiliar with this
program and may not be accustomed to such
aggressive pricing discounts from the
factory. Members purchasing vehicles under
this program should approach the dealer with
the program discount price, listed above,
and with the base dealer invoice price. This
is the price the factory normally charges
the dealership for the vehicle. You may
research this price online at the following

You may order a vehicle
through this program at any time during the
year, through your local dealership. It may
be advantageous to deal directly with a
authorized fleet dealership, they are more
familiar with volume incentive pricing
discounts. You can locate your nearest fleet

who are members in good standing of National
Rural Water Association or our State
Affiliates are eligible for this program.
Once you are ready to order your vehicle(s),
you need only 2 things:
- Your fleet number:

- Proof of being a
qualified utility: Tax I.D. or
P.I.D.
When ordering your
vehicle, be sure you are dealing with a
salesperson who is familiar with fleet
programs, not the normal retail salesperson.
Your program discount should be applied to
the base dealer invoice price, not the MSRP.
Mention that you are ordering your vehicle(s)
under a volume incentive fleet discount.
If the salesperson has any questions, they
should call DaimlerChrysler fleet sales.

How does this pricing
compare to State Purchase Contract?
This program allows you
your choice of vehicle and options - the
State Contract is more limiting. You have
the option of ordering through your local
dealer. You may order at any time during the
year, unlike the State Contract. Price is
comparable or below the State Contract when
comparing like vehicles and like options.
Who is eligible for this
program?
Organizations who
currently belong to the National Rural Water
Association or a State Affiliate may order
vehicles through this program. Individuals
are not eligible.
Can I purchase a vehicle
off the lot?
No. Because this is a
price concession directly from the factory,
all vehicles must be ordered through
DaimlerChrysler. Dealers are unable to match
these discounted prices on vehicles already
on the lot.
How was this program
created?
The National Rural Water
Association implemented this program as part
of its Strategic Plan, to provide additional
benefits to State Association members. NRWA
hired AlphaSource Procurement Systems, a
company that provides technology and
consulting services to help organizations
buy materials, components and service
contracts more effectively, to negotiate
this program.
