WASHINGTON, D.C. – Steve Wear of Arkansas was elected to the Executive Board of the National Rural Water Association’s National Board of Directors during the board meeting held Feb. 8th in Washington, D.C. Wear was elected to fill the seat left open by the sudden passing of Michigan board member, Rolly Olney.
                 Wear was elected as an NRWA National Director in 2006. He has also served on the board of the Arkansas Rural Water Association since 1996, including terms as president and legislative chair. Wear is a past chairman of Arkansas Water Licensing Authority, Secretary-Treasurer of the Arkansas Water and Wastewater Manager Association, and Chairman of the Conway County Fire District Administration Board.
                 Steve and his wife Connie are residents of Morrilton, Ark., where he is the assistant manager of the Conway County Rural Water Distribution District.
