NRWA presents 2009 awards 

 

LOUSIVILLE, Ken. – The crowd cheered as the best of the rural water industry were honored at the National Rural Water Association’s Tribute to Excellence ceremony, held on October 7, during the H2O-XPO in Louisville, Ken.
                 For the second consecutive year, the Illinois Rural Water Association was named the State Association of the Year for its efforts in 2009. The association won the Website Excellence Award and the State Legislation Excellence Award. Illinois also received merit recognition for public relations and member services.
                 The Alabama Rural Water Association received merit recognition in the area of magazine excellence.
                 The California Rural Water Association received merit recognition in the area of national legislation.
                 The Delaware Rural Water Association received merit recognition in the area of newsletter excellence.
                 The Idaho Rural Water Association received merit recognition in the area of member services.
                 The Kansas Rural Water Association won the Magazine Excellence Award for its efforts in 2009.
                 The Louisiana Rural Water Association received merit recognition in the area of magazine excellence.
                 The Minnesota Rural Water Association won the Member Services Excellence Award and the Newsletter Excellence Award. Minnesota also received merit recognition for training and Technical assistance.
                The Mississippi Rural Water Association received merit recognition in the area of national legislation.
                 The Missouri Rural Water Association won the Electronic Newsletter Excellence Award for its efforts in 2009. Missouri also received merit recognition for newsletter excellence and website excellence.
                 The New York Rural Water Association received merit recognition in the areas of member services.
                 The New Mexico Rural Water Association received merit recognition in the area of national legislation.
                The South Dakota Association of Rural Water Systems won the Innovation in Member Services Award, for the 2009 launch of the Consumer Magazine.
                 The Rural Water Association of Utah received merit recognition in the area of electronic newsletter excellence.
                 Evergreen Rural Water of Washington won the Training and Technical Assistance Excellence Award National Legislation Excellence Award.
                 The West Virginia Rural Water Association won the Member Services Excellence Award. West Virginia also received merit recognition for public relations, state legislation excellence, and website excellence.
                 The Wisconsin Rural Water Association received merit recognition in the areas of training and technical assistance, state legislation and electronic newsletter excellence.
                 The Wyoming Association of Rural Water Systems won the Quality on Tap Leadership in Public Relations Award.
