WASHINGTON, D. C. – The Mt. View – Edgewood Water Company from Edgewood, Wash. won the golden medal award for best tasting water in the nation during the Great American Water Taste Test, held on Feb. 8 at the Rural Water Rally in Washington, D.C.

Hebert Water Systems from Columbia, La. won the silver medal and the City of Puxico from Puxico, Mo. won bronze. Other finalists include the Three Springs Water Treatment Plant from McCaleysville, Va. and Putnam Public Service District from Scott Depot, W.Va. Each state holds a water taste test at their state conferences, and those winners are eligible for entry into the Great American Water Taste Test. Each sample was judged on clarity, bouquet and taste. Five finalists are selected and judged by a special judging panel to decide the final awards.
