South Dakota wins State Association of the Year

LOUISVILLE, Ken. – The South Dakota Association of Rural Water Systems was named the Association of the Year at the National Rural Water Association’s Tribute to Excellence awards ceremony, held on Oct. 4th in Louisville, Ken.                

Other awards included: Outstanding Achievement in Public Relations: New York Rural Water Association Outstanding Achievement in Legislative Initiatives: New Mexico Rural Water Association Outstanding Achievement in Training: Idaho Rural Water Association Outstanding Achievement in Member Services: Colorado Rural Water Association Outstanding Achievement in Technical Assistance: Alabama Rural Water Association                

NRWA President Joe Liles presented twelve special recognition awards to state associations for their work in 2011.
